- ➤ Roanoke police are seeking a suspect after a man was fatally shot on September 7 in the city—officials report the investigation is ongoing and details remain limited. WDBJ7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Roanoke County Public Schools announced today that Halftime Live will return for the 2025 marching band season, offering free live+on-demand streams of high school band shows. The schedule includes Northside on September 19, Cave Spring on September 25, Glenvar on October 17, William Byrd on October 24 and Hidden Valley on October 31, with weather cancellations to be rescheduled. - ➤ Five Virginians won a $100,000 prize on Saturday night when a ticket bought at the Gobble Stop in Barren Springs matched the winning numbers, and four others won in Farmville, Richmond, Stafford, and Winchester.
