GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Virginia has been approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to limit SNAP purchases for sweetened beverages starting on April 1, 2026. Governor Glenn Youngkin said the policy will strengthen nutrition programs and help reduce chronic health issues. WSLS 10
- ➤ Jackson Gunter, a third-grade student from Highland Park Elementary, will present his plan today at the Roanoke City Council meeting to improve Highland Park with cleaner grounds, repaired playground equipment, and added picnic tables.
