ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters responded Saturday, November 29 to a fire at Cornerstone Baptist Church on 18th Street SE and quickly put the flames out—leaving only minor damage to the staircase while no one was in the building and the cause is under investigation.  WDBJ7
  • Emergency crews responded to a fire at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Roanoke on Saturday—no injuries were reported as the blaze was knocked down by 5:30 p.m. and authorities have not yet determined its cause or cost.  WSLS 10
  • On Saturday morning, a house fire on the 2600 block of Wildwood Rd swept through the basement and left two residents, two dogs, and a cat without a home — firefighters reported no injuries while the American Red Cross provided help — and the county fire marshal investigated the cause.  WDBJ7
  • Early Saturday morning, a fire at the 2600 block of Wildwood Road displaced two people, two dogs and a cat as firefighters knocked the blaze down in about five minutes—no one was injured and the American Red Cross is helping those affected while the Fire Marshal's Office investigates the cause.  ABC 13
