- ➤ Amherst Corner Restaurant on Amherst Highway changed owners from Freeman Miller to veteran Donovan Fleer and will now open on Sundays. Today, Fleer is hosting a Veterans Day benefit by donating all profits from food sales to help veteran William Hart and will match funds to support the Amherst VFW—continuing the effort for local veterans. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, wintry conditions forced Craig County Public Schools to close and will cause a two hour delay on Tuesday while school leaders in Roanoke and Grayson counties adjusted bus routes to keep students safe — they said the changes balanced safety and family needs.
