- ➤ Seventeen local veterans from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam will join Central and Southwest Virginia Honor Flight to visit Washington, D.C. war memorials from October 17 to October 19 — the trip is their 11th mission. They will meet in Bedford, travel by charter bus to key sites including the National Museum of the U.S. Army and Arlington National Cemetery, and return with a Welcome Home Ceremony — WFXR’s Michael Doti will report on the event. - ➤ On Friday night, Glenvar won a 42—0 road game in the Three Rivers District clash and kept the rocking chair trophy. Coach Shaun Miller said the team made few mistakes and followed their game plan to secure the victory. WSLS 10
