HEALTH NEWS

  • Roanoke will host its 3rd annual Save a Life Day on September 25th at On Our Own of Roanoke Valley, 1122 2nd St SW — offering free naloxone kits, quick trainings, and local resource access from 1:00 to 6:30 p.m. The event is part of a national effort with over 500 free naloxone events planned to help reduce opioid overdose deaths.  The Roanoke Star
  • Local leaders hosted a National Recovery Month event at the Historic Dumas Center on Tuesday to show that recovery is possible, featuring a documentary screening by BrightView Health that brought families, clinicians, and lawmakers together.
