- ➤ A person died after a medical emergency occurred during the booking process at a Roanoke detention center on August 27th; staff provided CPR until Fire/EMS arrived, and the individual was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital where a doctor pronounced the death while Virginia State Police launched an investigation.
