ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ UK based company Pluck’d announced Friday that it is investing $104.5 million to build a 65 acre greenhouse at Wildwood Commerce Park in Austinville. The project will add 265 jobs and produce 45 million pounds of fresh tomatoes for east coast distribution with the first tomatoes expected on shelves in spring 2026 — Governor Glenn Youngkin said. - ➤ On Saturday, the expanded Roanoke Regional Readiness Center in Troutville opened to boost National Guard support with modern training areas and an upgraded maintenance shop—key for supporting 270 soldiers on drill weekends.
