- ➤ A man was injured in a late-night shooting on Saturday on the 800 block of Hunt Ave NW in Roanoke—he suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital. WDBJ7
- ➤ A woman was hospitalized Sunday after an early morning shooting in Henry County; she was taken by private vehicle to SOVAH Health Martinsville and then airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital—investigators have collected evidence as they continue questioning witnesses. ABC 13
- ➤ Roanoke Police responded about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday to a shooting on the 200 block of 12th St. SW—where they found a man fatally shot— and no arrests have been made, with officials noting this incident is one of at least three shootings in a 12-hour span. WDBJ7
- ➤ Early Sunday morning at 12:28 a.m.—Roanoke police responded to a shooting at the 200 block of 12th St SW and found a man with fatal gunshot wounds who died at the scene. ABC 13

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Roanoke Mayor Joe Cobb will announce today the Hope and Home Task Force to address homelessness at 1 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at the Noel C. Taylor Municipal Building. Officials say the task force will collect data and work with local agencies over the next 12 to 18 months—efforts driven by a reversal in progress after homelessness improved before COVID-19. WSLS 10
