- ➤ Roanoke County police say a death investigation is underway after 42-year-old Garon Bowles from Franklin County was found unresponsive on an embankment on Peaceful Drive in the Glenvar area at 5:43 p.m. on July 7—preliminary findings show he was taken to a hospital, pronounced dead, and appears to have been hit by a vehicle with no danger to the public.
