ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • New details have emerged about the fire that destroyed the Noke Van Co. building in Riverdale in April. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Analysts say new federal SNAP rules will take effect on October 1 and may leave over 100,000 low-income Virginians without food help while costing the state about $350 million a year if benefits remain the same. Experts warn the stricter rules will add red-tape burdens—making it harder for working adults, the elderly and disabled to qualify and hurting local families.  WVTF
