- ➤ Roanoke’s new Compassion Clinic Resource Center will open its doors on June 3 at 11 a.m. at 2612 Cove Road, Suite A—where families can receive counseling, job placement help, financial literacy workshops, and other support services. The Roanoke Tribune
- ➤ Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport will advise travelers to arrive two hours early this Memorial Day weekend because officials expect more traffic than last year+passengers will need to show a REAL ID and use free parking for 30 minutes to ease pick up delays. WDBJ7
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, Roanoke Police Department announced Operation Summer Shield—aimed at reducing violent crime by removing repeat offenders with high-risk warrants, enforcing traffic rules in high-crime areas, and patrolling downtown during peak bar hours. The plan will work with the U.S. Marshals and State Police to keep the summer events safe. WSLS 10
