  • Roanoke hosted the 35th Local Colors Festival at Elmwood Park on Saturday as cultures from around the world came together to enjoy music, arts, crafts, cuisine and traditional attire. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Roanoke School Board approved reductions to PLATO and activity bus services—cuts expected to save about $3 million as the division addresses its deficit. The changes will affect student transportation for activities later this school year.  The Roanoke Times

  • On Saturday in Salem, a charity football game honored 10-year-old Autumn Bushman and raised funds for local suicide prevention efforts while urging age-appropriate mental health conversations.
