- ➤ Vinton will host its 70th Annual Dogwood Festival on April 25th and 26th with over 150 craft and retail vendors, live entertainment and a free family activity area. The festival will feature a Dogwood Stroll walking parade starting at 2 p.m.—a key event to celebrate local traditions. WSLS 10

- ➤ Roanoke resident Wayne Amos brought his 2014 Mercedes to Jiffy Lube on Peters Creek Road on October 2nd, 2024, and his engine later stopped working when Berglund Automotive said an oil filter may have hurt it. Berglund replaced the used engine on Feb. 17 while Jiffy Lube said they were not at fault—Amos now may go to court to try and recover nearly $17,000. The Roanoke Times

- ➤ In Weber City, four stores have given customers a 'gift' of cannabis with a decal purchase—drawing nearly 100 shoppers in 45 minutes on a snowy day—and law enforcement is investigating the gray area after local complaints about traffic and safety issues. Cardinal News
