The Rescue Mission of Roanoke Drumstick Dash

About this event

Thanksgiving morning in Roanoke means one thing — it's time to DASH!

The Drumstick DASH isn't your average 5K! It's a beloved Thanksgiving tradition bringing thousands of runners, walkers, families, friends, and four-legged companions together for a morning of fun, community spirit, and gratitude.

Whether you're chasing a personal record, strolling with the family, pushing a stroller, or rocking your favorite turkey costume, there's a place for YOU at the DASH!

But here's what makes every step count...

The Drumstick DASH benefits the Rescue Mission of Roanoke's Dining Services, helping provide more than 200,000 meals each year to men, women, and children facing hunger and homelessness in our community.

Every meal is more than food on a plate. It's nourishment, dignity, compassion, and hope — giving our neighbors the strength to take their next steps toward a brighter future.

You don't have to be the fastest. You don't even have to run. Just show up with a heart for helping others!
