All About Finishes for Wood Maker Mini

Learn about different types of finishes for wood and how to apply them in this FREE Maker Mini hosted by Matt B.

We will talk about the pros and cons of different wood finishes focusing on:

• Ease of Application

• Cost

• Durability

We will also discuss safety related to finishing wood, such as PPE and proper disposal of materials.

This Maker Mini is FREE and open to the public. You do NOT need to be a MAKE Roanoke Member to attend! It is suitable for all experience levels and recommended for ages 8 and up.

Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:

• All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the waiver must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time at https://mkroa.org/waiver

• Children who are not participating in the event are not permitted in the space.

• Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.

• You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.

• Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
